Yoga 4 Beginners
If you are a beginner, we offer a variety of yoga class options for you - such as Yoga 4 Mindful Movement, Relaxed Yin Flow or Yoga 4 Relaxation and Renewal. If you'd like a little more direction and exposure to various types of yoga, you may want to try one of our 1-Day Beginners Workshops which we offer once a month. We recommend registering online for the workshops.
To try out your first class, sign up for our $25 New Student special online. This special allows you to try as many mat-based classes as you'd like for 14 consecutive days. Then reserve your spot in the class of your choice and show up 15 minutes early for your first class and we'll introduce you to the studio and get you all set up. Yoga 4 Beginners Workshop
This workshop was designed for the absolute beginner who is interested in trying yoga. Students will learn basic yoga postures and breathing practices with a focus on safe alignment rather than a “perfect looking posture." Questions are strongly encouraged, and each student can count on one-on-one contact with the instructor throughout the class. By the end of the session, students will have a working knowledge of many fundamental yoga postures and should feel confident moving into Yoga 4 Mindful Movement or another yoga class. Bring your own mat or use one of ours free of charge for the workshop. Dress for movement in comfortable, close-fitting clothing. Loose clothing (especially tops) are not recommended. Advanced registration is advised. The workshop is two hours long. Cost is $25 (and mat rental is included).
Recommended Classes for Beginners
At Yoga 4 You, we specialize in beginners. While the Beginner Workshop is a great place to start, you may not want to wait for our next workshop to get started with your yoga practice. While new students are always welcome to start with any of our yoga classes, those who are brand new to the practice are encouraged to begin with any class listed as Level 1 or All Levels in the class description.
