Mini Relaxation Retreat

Join us for this deeply relaxing workshop that combines the healing practices of restorative yoga and yoga nidra. Nestled in a soft and supportive cocoon of blankets and bolsters, deep relaxation is invited through a series of supported poses held for 7-10 minutes each followed by a Yoga Nidra practice, often referred to as “yogic sleep”. It is said that one hour of yoga nidra is the equivalent of four hours of deep sleep. Most practitioners describe the experience as a cross between guided meditation and sleep, and the energetic state that keeps people coming back is best described as calm and centered, yet energized. In this workshop you will learn how to use Roll Model Therapy Balls (your own take-home set included) to practice trigger point techniques to massage deeply into your high tension areas. A wonderful way to self-massage that will get into those chronically tight muscles in ways that foam rollers just can't. Join us as we partner with the MN Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen to bring yoga into the great outdoors with 5 classes this summer. No registration is needed. Please bring your own mat if possible, and don't forget your water bottle! Plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time to make sure you can get to the class location on time. Ask at the Information Desk at the Arboretum for the quickest ways to get to any of the yoga class locations. A practical & impactful workshop that will help you be your authentic self & inspire & uplift those around you. How can we let go of our social conditioning, self-limiting stories and habitual responses to bring our best selves to those around us. During this workshop, based on the book The Soul of Leadership by Deepak Chopra, we will explore ways to find our authentic selves and discover the value of leading with your heart. There will be some movement in this class so bring your yoga mat and dress for some gentle yoga. The cost for this 90 minute workshop is $30.
